Advanced Abrasives Laboratory Project

Advanced Abrasives Corporation is a processor and supplier of premium quality superabrasive and conventional abrasive powders and distributes their products to an international client base. When they bought their warehouse in 2010 at 7980 National Highway in Pennsauken to convert into their laboratory and processing facility they chose Wittman. The project consisted of complete demolition down to the building’s structure and rebuild of new office space and extensive industrial mechanical, electric and plumbing systems for their laboratory operations. We are proud of the fact the Advanced Abrasives has called on us eight more time after the initial project for additional improvements.

Di Tech Pennsauken

Wittman has vast experience converting old buildings into state-of-the-art laboratories and facilities. In 2010 we converted 1416 Union Ave Pennsauken, NJ for Di Tech.

AmSpec Avenel, NJ – Laboratory

In 2015 the team at AmSpec Services, LLC selected Wittman Construction for the build-out of their 27,000 SF NY Harbor Operations and Laboratory facility. This state-of-the-art facility is centrally located to neighboring ports, refineries, and pipeline operations, allowing AmSpec to better serve their client’s testing and inspection requirements.

The existing building was taken down to its superstructure shell. The design-build improvements included: The introduction of 180 tons of new roof-mounted HVAC equipment for a pressurized environment, a 1000-amp electric service upgrade and complete power wiring throughout, new plumbing/mechanical, and new finishes to provide laboratory, office, and warehouse facilities for the operation. The exterior of the building was also modernized by replacing the existing aged façade with high low-e reflective architectural glass, adding attractive insulated stucco finishes and beautiful, lush landscaping.
